DYK Cervical cancer can be prevented? Immunize preteens aged 11-12 years against HPV (stronger immune response when given during preteen years, but HPV vaccine is recommended for everyone through 26 years and some adults through 45 years)
Screen regularly. Women should start with a Pap test (test that looks for precancers on the cervical) at age 21 and co-tested with a Pap and an HPV test started at age 30.
