UND Theatre will stage the musical “My Fair Lady” as part of its 2025-26 season at Burtness Theatre. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on November 7, 8, 14, and 15, with matinee shows at 2 p.m. on November 9 and 16.

Tickets are priced at $25 for adults and $15 for students, seniors, and military personnel with identification. Student military members can attend free of charge with valid ID.

“My Fair Lady,” written by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe, is based on George Bernard Shaw’s play “Pygmalion.” The original Broadway production won six Tony Awards including Best Musical, while the film adaptation received eight Oscars such as Best Picture.

The story follows Eliza Doolittle, a young flower seller in Edwardian society whose Cockney accent limits her social mobility. Professor Henry Higgins attempts to teach her to speak like a lady, leading to an unexpected friendship.

The production features UND Theatre students, faculty, and staff in various roles both onstage and behind the scenes. Emily Wirkus serves as director and choreographer alongside Serena Huberty (student), with Justin Montigne as music director. The cast includes Madi Watts as Eliza Doolittle and Isaac Anderson as Henry Higgins.

Other key creative team members include Brad Reissig (scenic & lighting design), Kylie McDonald (costume design), Alexis Mull (hair & makeup design), Adriene Grigsby (sound design/technical direction), and several student assistants in choreography, costume design, stage management, and other technical roles.

The Department of Theatre Arts encourages community attendance at this classic musical production.
