Rural patients who identify as LGBTQ+ may face barriers to receiving needed care

Rural patients who identify as LGBTQ+ may face barriers to receiving needed care, including a knowledge gap among healthcare providers around HIV prevention, hormone replacement therapy, and other types of care. To ensure that LGBTQ+ people in Idaho can comfortably and safely access the care they need, a statewide consortium provides training, virtual consultations, and resources to rural providers.
