The University of North Dakota welcomed its incoming Class of 2029 with a series of events over the weekend, as new students arrived on campus ahead of the fall semester. The university reported that this class is contributing to record enrollment numbers.

Welcome Weekend 2025, held from August 23 to 25, offered various activities for first-year students. Events included moving into residence halls and social gatherings designed to introduce new arrivals to campus life.

On Saturday night, students participated in an event at the Chester Fritz Performing Arts Center that featured games, music, and prizes. Sunday’s schedule included brunch at Wilkerson and an open house at the Wellness Center. In the early evening, the class photo was taken on the Quad near the Chester Fritz Library. The day concluded with additional festivities at the Memorial Union.
