President Armacost invited students, faculty, and staff to attend the State of the University Address scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Memorial Union ballroom. He stated that university administrators will discuss plans for the coming academic year during this event.

Armacost noted that campus activity is expected to increase significantly in the next few days, with a possible record number of students enrolling at UND.

Kathy Armacost also invited faculty, staff, and employees of the UND Foundation to join a picnic following the address. The “Picnic with the Prez” will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the front lawn of University House.
