The University of North Dakota will host an event on Monday, Oct. 13, to mark Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The gathering is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Memorial Union Small Ballroom and is organized by the Indigenous Student Center.
The event, titled “Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day: Building a Bridge for Shared Understanding and Collective Action,” will feature Anton Treuer as guest speaker. Treuer is an author and professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be available via Zoom.
