Minot State University is organizing another "Rise and Grind" event to assist students with enrollment for the upcoming Summer and Fall 2025 semesters. The event, in collaboration with the MSU Retain and Graduate Committee, will be held from March 25 to March 28.

This initiative targets undergraduate or graduate students who are seeking degrees, have completed their graduation application, or have scheduled an appointment with their advisor for enrollment. The event will feature a complimentary grande drink from Sodexo Starbucks for participating students from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Student Center’s Beaver Dam during these dates.

Jim Sturm, director of the Looyenga Leadership Center and chair of MSU’s Retain and Graduate Committee, emphasized the objective: “Our goal is to make registration as stress-free as possible.” He added that they aim to provide a streamlined process for students who might find registration confusing or overwhelming. Sturm noted that this offers an opportunity for students to resolve queries and finalize plans while enjoying a free cup of coffee.

Additionally, Minot State has partnered with SCHEELS to offer gift cards throughout the week. Five randomly selected Minot State students will receive $100 gift cards.

While the promotional activities conclude on March 28, class registration remains open until classes commence in Summer or Fall 2025, depending on availability. Summer classes are slated to begin on May 27, while Fall classes start on August 25 after 4 p.m.

Minot State University is committed to excellence in education through rigorous academic experiences and community engagement.
