Maren Schettler's journey from a severe car accident to achieving her academic and personal goals at the University of North Dakota (UND) is highlighted in a new video by the UND video team. The story emphasizes resilience, determination, and the power of the human spirit.
After enduring a challenging recovery from her accident during her first semester, Schettler returned to UND with strong resolve. She pursued an English major with minors in music and political science. Her involvement extended beyond academics as she contributed as an editor for Floodwall student magazine and wrote for the Grand Forks Herald.
Schettler also found support within the Chi Alpha student organization and shared her musical skills as a flutist with the Red River Trio, even participating in international travel with them.
The UND video team presents Maren’s story as "a testament to the strength within us all and a reminder that even in the face of hardship, dreams can be realized."
