Members of Mayville State University’s Collegiate DECA performed well at the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference in Fargo on February 13 and 14, 2025. The conference allowed students to compete in business-related events against peers from ten other North Dakota colleges and universities. Out of 25 participants, 22 qualified for the international competition set for April in San Francisco.

The results highlighted several notable performances. In Financial Accounting, Logan Maus secured second place while Reid Strand took third. Andrea Hoyme qualified nationally in Fashion Merchandising & Marketing. Josh Dixon earned second place in Human Resource Management, and Daniel Suda achieved second place with Samantha Passa coming third in Marketing Management.

Connor Fields won first place in Travel and Tourism, with Leighton Wolfgram securing third. Sam Preston excelled by winning first place in both Sales Management & Leadership and Professional Sales, where Kadyn Helde placed second.

In Hotel and Lodging, Kadyn Helde finished third with Trevor Elliott qualifying nationally. Jack Bradner won first place in Retail Management alongside national qualifiers Sam Schlepuetz and Andrea Majchrzak. Davis Bengson came third in Restaurant and Food Service Management as Brock Jungels qualified nationally.

Tyson Snagg won Corporate Finance, while Beau Jorgensen teamed up with him to win International Marketing. Samantha Passa paired with Josh Dixon to take second place in Marketing Communications.

In Sports Marketing, Connor Fields and Logan Maus earned second place, while Malachi Beaulieu and Kadyn Helde qualified nationally. Entertainment Marketing saw Bode Roberts and Carson Weiers taking second place; Andrea Hoyme partnered with Andrea Majchrzak for third.

Entrepreneurship – Starting Your Business was led by Trevor Elliott along with Reid Strand and Davis Bengson who claimed first place together.

In Business to Business Marketing, Brock Jungels joined forces with Daniel Suda to secure first position; Jack Bradner worked alongside Reid Strand for a close second finish.

Andrea Hoyme combined efforts with Andrea Majchrzak as well as Isabel Helde to dominate Business Research taking home another victory.

Individual awards went to Logan Maus along with Samantha Passa receiving the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Outstanding Service Award recognizing their leadership contributions within community settings or campus engagements through chapter involvement specifically mentioned were painted pumpkins activity residents Luther Memorial Home participated too being honored via North Dakota Community Service Award category overall Mayville State's chapter recognition achievements held high regard further punctuated announcement that electees vice presidents next term Kadyn Helde Malachi Beaulieu secured spots 2025-26 tenure representing state organization leadership role going forward
