The University of North Dakota's Department of Theatre Arts is set to present "Ken Ludwig’s BASKERVILLE: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery" at the Burtness Theatre. The play will run from February 26 through March 2, with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee on March 2 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are priced at $25 for adults and $15 for students, seniors, and military personnel with ID. Student military members can attend free of charge with ID.
The production offers a comedic twist on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic tale, "The Hound of the Baskervilles." Five actors will take on more than 40 roles in this vaudevillian, Victorian adventure adapted by Ken Ludwig.
James Tweedale serves as the director, with Emily Wirkus as assistant director. The stage manager is Payton Bergman, and Brad Reissig is responsible for scenic and lighting design. Patrick Reading handles sound design and technical direction.
Jace Toutenhoofd plays Sherlock Holmes while Sean McNulty takes on the role of Dr. Watson. Other cast members include Tacy Crawford, Alexis Mull, and Madi Watts.
The production team includes students in various roles such as Grace Rhoades as assistant scenic designer and Jenna Lester as assistant lighting designer.
