Giving Hearts Day, a significant fundraising event in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, is scheduled for February 13. This 24-hour online give-a-thon is organized annually by DMF, Impact Foundation, and the Alex Stern Family Foundation. The initiative aims to enhance the fundraising capabilities of participating charities by fostering awareness and providing a focused timeframe for donations.

Mayville State University is participating in this event to support its RN-to-BSN and MSN programs. These programs are designed to help current nurses advance their education while maintaining their jobs. The online courses are structured in five-week blocks, allowing nurses to progress through one or two classes at a time without leaving the workforce.

Individuals interested in contributing to Mayville State's nursing programs can do so online on Giving Hearts Day. Additionally, donations can be made in person at the Edson and Margaret Larson Alumni and Leadership Center between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., where assistance will be available. For those who prefer phone assistance with their donations, Stacy Buchl can be contacted at 701-788-4864.
