Originally from Bismarck, McKenzie Moe's interest in nutrition began during her high school years. "I was really fascinated by how different things affect the body," she recalled.

This passion directed her towards a career in nutrition, and she chose the University of North Dakota (UND) for her studies. Her decision was influenced by family connections to UND and the fact that her best friend was also attending.

After completing an undergraduate degree in Dietetics, McKenzie returned westward, exchanging campus life for the open plains while continuing her education through UND’s online programs. This transition to remote learning has been smooth, enabling her to balance academics with personal interests such as cooking, exercising, and spending time outdoors.

Due to her husband's work in the oil industry, McKenzie has relocated multiple times between Bismarck, Minot, and now Williston. She appreciates the university's flexibility in accommodating these changes without disrupting her studies.
