Minot State University, along with the Minot State Alumni Association, the MSU Development Foundation, and MSU Athletics, is set to host Homecoming 2024 from September 11-14. The events aim to engage alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the university.
Courtenay Brekhus, Minot State’s director of alumni engagement, stated: “Homecoming is a special time of year for our alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the University. With a variety of fun events planned, we are very excited to welcome everyone back to campus.”
The activities will begin with the President’s Club Luncheon on Wednesday at noon in the Student Center Conference Center. This event honors donors who have contributed $1,000 or more.
On Thursday evening at 6 p.m., the Golden Awards and Young Alumni Achievement Award Dinner will take place in the same venue. The Golden Awards represent the highest honor given by the MSU Alumni Association.
Friday's schedule includes an Athletics Luncheon at noon in the South Lobby of the Minot State Dome. Later that day at 5 p.m., there will be a Hall of Fame Banquet at Sleep Inn & Suites. Additionally, MSU volleyball and women’s soccer teams will play matches against their respective opponents.
The day will conclude with a Homecoming Reunion Social organized by the MSU Alumni Association at Sports on Tap starting at 7 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities start with the MSU Homecoming Parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. in downtown Minot. Further sports events include volleyball matches and a football game featuring Northern State.
