Minot State University will host the Business After Hours event at the newly renovated Hartnett Hall, organized by the Minot Area Chamber EDC. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., followed by the event from 5-7 p.m.

"Harnett Hall is one of the major academic facilities at Minot State and has been a vital part of the campus serving our students for over a half-century," stated MSU President Dr. Steven Shirley. "The completely renovated facility features some incredible new teaching, learning, and performing spaces, and we are excited to welcome the community for a visit during Business After Hours."

The renovation project cost $26.6 million and was funded by the North Dakota Legislature in a special session in 2021. Renovations began in May 2022, with parts of Hartnett Hall opening for classes in Spring 2024. The building will be fully operational this fall.

Business After Hours provides an opportunity for networking among chamber members while offering food, drinks, and prizes. Facility tours will be available throughout the event. Admission is open to the public with a $5 entry fee.

Hartnett Hall houses several academic programs including English, humanities, art, theater arts, professional communication courses as well as general education classes. It also includes Aleshire Theater, a new recital hall for performing arts, KMSU radio station and television studio, along with MSU's Esports studio.

Minot State University is committed to providing quality education through rigorous academic experiences and active learning environments.
