Minot State University's Tiffany Pierson is dedicated to enhancing the online user experience for the university's website. Entering her third year as a web content specialist, Pierson is involved in a significant branding and website update. Her role combines her graphic design technology degree from the University of North Dakota with a certificate in entrepreneurial studies and a Google Analytics certification.

"My job as the web content specialist is to help guide a user's journey on our website," Pierson explained. She uses tools like Google Analytics and Page Insights to improve functionality and design.

Transitioning from the private sector to higher education brought changes for Pierson. "One of the biggest differences is that MSU is full of people from many different walks of life," she noted, appreciating the collaborative environment at Minot State.

Pierson emphasized storytelling as key to MSU marketing: "We have so many stories to share about our students, faculty, staff, and alumni."

Regarding upcoming changes to MSU's website, Pierson shared, "The new website update will become more user-friendly...improve navigation, functionality, accessibility, and add user-focused content."

Reflecting on her achievements at MSU, Pierson stated: "I am most proud of being able to inject the website with authenticity through our content."

Pierson also praised her marketing team: "Our team encourages each other to find new ideas and continue to grow professionally." Her involvement extends beyond work; she served as Staff Senate president focusing on professional development and staff satisfaction initiatives.

Outside work, Pierson enjoys family time with her husband Mark and daughters Piper (4) and Marlee (1). Her interests include crafting, traveling—highlighted by a memorable trip to Norway—and collecting vinyl records. She actively supports cancer fundraising efforts through Minot Pink Ladies.

Despite personal challenges including her youngest daughter's health issues, Pierson expressed gratitude for Minot State's support: "The support that I received from everyone at Minot State was incredible."

Minot State University remains committed to excellence in education through rigorous academic experiences and community engagement.
