Minot State University students recently participated in the 2024 National Leadership Conference organized by Future Business Leaders of America — Collegiate. The event took place in Orlando, Florida, from June 24 to June 27, with nearly 1,000 collegiate students attending from various parts of the country.
During the opening session on June 24, Minot State's Mason Lemer was acknowledged as a North Dakota Who’s Who recipient. Additionally, Jan Repnow, an Assistant Professor in Business Information Technology at Minot State, was recognized as the North Dakota Outstanding Collegiate Advisor. It is noted that Lemer could not attend the conference.
The conference provided opportunities for students to connect with business professionals and participate in workshops. They also competed in several events requiring both objective and presentation skills.
On June 27, the Awards of Excellence Ceremony highlighted four Minot State students for their achievements:
- Kyle Sandy secured sixth place in Emerging Business Issues.
- A team comprising Kyle Sandy and Alec Wolf achieved eighth place in Business Presentation.
- Emma Taylor earned ninth place in Community Service and eighth place in Public Speaking.
