Danielle Reinisch, a member of the Minot State University Nursing faculty, has been contributing to the institution since 2016. Her journey began as a student at Minot State University (MSU), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. Later, she obtained a Master of Nursing in Education from the University of Mary in 2016 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Leadership at the University of North Dakota in 2023.

Reinisch expressed that her role as an educator brings her joy, particularly in mentoring future nursing leaders by combining academic knowledge with practical experience. She emphasized, "I loved my experience as a student in the MSU nursing program. The staff and faculty were so supportive and caring, which significantly impacted my personal and professional development."

Reflecting on memorable moments at MSU, Reinisch described how senior public health nursing students identify community problems and develop interventions as part of their curriculum. "Being part of this journey with them... is some of the most rewarding and fulfilling moments I have experienced as an educator," she stated.

Her advice for aspiring nurses focuses on perseverance during challenging times: "We must also remember why we chose nursing because this can help us reconnect with our purpose and passion."

Reinisch's research interests lie in academic-practice partnerships aimed at enhancing learning environments for new nurse graduates. She explained, "Healthcare is different now compared to 10 years ago; our patients are more complex... To navigate these challenges, interprofessional communication, collaboration, and coordination are essential."

Outside work, Reinisch enjoys spending time with her family near Minot and engaging in various outdoor activities. Her hobbies include listening to diverse music genres and creating charcuterie boards.

Minot State University remains committed to providing quality education through active learning environments and community engagement.
