There was one company in a city associated with Walsh County that received FDA citations as a result of one inspection conducted in the county throughout 2023, according to reports from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This is an increase over the number of companies cited in the previous year.

The citations in the county include:

• Your pullet environment is not tested for SE when pullets are 14 to 16 weeks of age.
• Environmental testing for SE, using approved methods, was not done in a poultry house when any group of laying hens constituting the flock was 40 to 45 weeks of age.
• You did not maintain records documenting compliance with rodent and other pest control measures.

The company cited should take a voluntary action to correct its managing operations.
