3.6% of Grand Forks County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Grand Forks County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.6% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,554 people out of the 73,101 living in Grand Forks County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Grand Forks County has decreased compared to the 3.8% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Grand Forks County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.1%.

Of the 41,185 people who had a job during that time, 1,708 were employed in the Armed Forces and 39,477 belonged to the civilian labor force.
