Grand Forks, ND – Most city offices will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 for Independence Day. Regular city business will not be conducted that day. However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled.
City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will not run on July 4th. City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will resume regular routes on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.
City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Tuesday, July 4th. Residents with regularly scheduled Tuesday pickup will have their trash collected on Wednesday, July 5th and Thursday, July 6th – along with regularly scheduled routes.
Recycling pickup scheduled for next week will be pushed back one day later than normally after the holiday. Tuesday’s pickup will take place on Wednesday, Wednesday’s recycling will be picked up on Thursday, Thursday’s recycling will be picked up on Friday, and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday. The City Council meeting will take place at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2023
