82 percent of applicants to the University of North Dakota were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of North Dakota, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Grand Forks enrolled 13,847 students in fall 2018, including 10,519 in undergraduate and 3,328 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

37 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Dakota, and 61 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (79 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (4 percent).

The school admitted 82 percent of the 5,021 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 44 percent enrolled.
