86 percent of applicants to Mayville State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Mayville State University, 72 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Mayville enrolled 1,184 students in fall 2018, including 1,147 in undergraduate and 37 in graduate programs, data shows. 17.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

55 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Dakota, and 36 percent are residents of other states. 9 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (78 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 424 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
