Presidents Andrew Armacost of the University of North Dakota (UND) and David Cook of North Dakota State University (NDSU) are set to participate in TEDxFargo, an independently organized discussion event. The presidents will speak on July 24 during the 3-5 p.m. session at Brewhalla, located at 1702 First Avenue North in Fargo.

The two leaders will discuss the collective impact their universities have on the state as part of the event’s theme, “THREAD, where every thread tells a story.” According to the event’s website, “TEDxFargo isn’t just an event; it’s a space for discovery, conversation and inspiration.”

Tickets are required for attendance, with further information available on the TEDxFargo website. A video recording may be posted online later for those unable to attend.

Dr. Andrew Armacost became UND’s 13th president on June 1, 2020. He previously served as Dean of Faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy and held the rank of Brigadier General.

David Cook was named NDSU’s 15th president in February 2022 and started his role on May 17, 2022. Prior to this position, he was vice chancellor for Public Affairs and Economic Development at the University of Kansas.
