North Dakota women’s golf finishes sixth at Stampede at the Creek

The North Dakota women’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Stampede at the Creek on April 14, closing out its regular season with a three-round total score of 930 at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

This finish ties for North Dakota’s highest placement during the spring portion of their season and represents their second-lowest team score this spring. The Fighting Hawks posted rounds of 308, 320, and a final round of 302 to secure their spot in a competitive field that included several Summit League opponents.

Emersyn Walker led North Dakota individually by tying for 12th place with a three-round score of 230. Walker recorded the team’s best round on the final day with a score of 73 after opening rounds of 79 and 78. Gigi Lund followed closely behind, tying for 16th with a total score of 232 across her three rounds (75-79-78). Sophie Cook tied for 28th place with a score of 236, while Mallory Uselman completed North Dakota’s scoring five by tying for 30th with a total of 237.

Drake University won the team title at the tournament with an overall score of 906. Omaha finished second (910), and Wichita State placed third (911).

The tournament marked North Dakota’s last event before shifting focus to the Summit League Golf Championships scheduled for April 26–28 at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Arizona.
