The Mayville State University athletic teams have been recognized with the NAIA Scholar Team award for the 2024-25 academic year. The teams honored include volleyball, softball, women’s basketball, men’s basketball, baseball, men’s golf, and women’s golf. Each team achieved a GPA above the minimum requirement for the award.

The volleyball team led with a GPA of 3.65, followed by women’s golf at 3.72. Other teams also performed well academically: women’s basketball (3.54), men’s golf (3.35), softball (3.43), men’s basketball (3.31), and baseball (3.1). The football team narrowly missed the required GPA with a score of 2.94.

Athletic Director Rocky Larson expressed pride in the student-athletes’ achievements both academically and athletically: “We are extremely proud of our student athletes for their work both on and off the fields and courts,” he said. “Their outstanding GPAs underscore the importance we place on academics within our athletic department. The members of our teams are students first, and that fact definitely shows.”
